ART
Art Specifications:
We understand that supplying artwork for commercial printing can be confusing. There is way too many technical terms so when you place your order we will ask if you have camera ready artwork... Of course most customers respond with " do I have what?" that's when we say, "just send us a concept or send us your logo and let us take a look at it. If you have an art file that is in a pdf format, that just might work. Just email us a pdf file and we can have our tech gurus check it out before we go to print and send you a proof of what your item will look like.
Otherwise we can create your art or create a logo that can be used for most printing media that you might have.
Here are a few tips if providing your own artwork:
-
Vector artwork created in programs such as Illustrator or CorelDraw is preferred and highly suggested. Please save your vector files as .eps, .pdf, or .ai files. When working in Illustrator, convert all the text into outlines. In CorelDraw, export/save as a .pdf with all type converted to curves.
-
Raster artwork created in a multitude of design programs like Photoshop is also great if supplied at a good resolution. It is always best to start with your files to size or larger when designing (11″x11″ at 300dpi), then to work at a lower sizing and resolution (4″x4″ at 72 dpi), and scale them up afterwards.
Whenever possible please keep your files layered, labeled and as clean as possible.
Please ensure all artwork is provided in CMYK format. Files provided in RGB format will be converted into CMYK before print and may result in significant color differences from what you see on your monitor.
Ensure all fonts are ‘embedded‘. If your fonts aren’t embedded our system may substitute the font for a different one.
PMS color matches are available for a $10.00 charge per color, an exact color match is NOT guaranteed. Colors may vary from samples, original order and re-orders. If PMS colors are not supplied, we will extract colors from your supplied artwork.
Depending on the complexity of your art, a small art charge may apply.
We will gladly email you a quote before we start on your project.
